Jim Lighthizer, former County Executive, heard about our work to save Historic Johns Hopkins House and contacted us with intertest in the project. We met with him for a couple of hours. He is excited to be offering his expertise to our team. He will be joining some of the meetings that we have with interested parties.
Jim comes with an impressive background. He spent some time in politics as a member of the Maryland House of Delegates, County Executive and Secretary of Transportation. He then went on to nonprofit work where he served as President of the American Battlefield Trust. He received the National Humanities Medal.
Mr. Lighthizer has helped us determine next steps in our campaign to save the Johns Hopkins House.
If you have not done so, please consider going to our website www.johnshopkinshouse.com and signing our petition.
