I Met Mr. Paca!!

I had the distinct pleasure to visit with Mr. Paca and his guests at his beautiful home in Annapolis on Saturday for the Yuletide Celebration. Several important Annapolitans were in attendance and much food and drink was shared. You can see below that the dining room table was full of food. We met a couple of the enslaved in the kitchen who told us about how they were preparing the food for the celebration. As entertainment, we enjoyed some beautiful Colonial music.

We even went around the corner to Hogshead to visit with some of the working class folks who were having their own celebration with some gingerbread cookies and hot apple cider. Among others, we met a great fiddler and Mr. Jonas Greene, Publisher of the Maryland Gazette. Such a great night was had by all!
